This indenture made this day in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty between John Finley, gent. of the County of Augusta of the one part and Robert Finley, gent. of the said county of Augusta of the other part WITNESSETH that for and in Consideration of the sum of eighty five pounds current money of Virginia to the said John Finley in hand paid by the said Robert Finley at and before the sealing and Delivery of those presents the recording whereof the date hereby acknowledged and thereof date released acquitt and discharge the said Robert Finley his Executors and Adms. by those present the said John Finley hath granted bargained Sold aliened Released and Confirmed and by those presents Doth grant bargain sell alien Release and Confirm to the said Robert Finley in his actual possession now being by virtue of a Bargain and Sale to him thereof made by the said John Finley for one whole year by indenture bearing the date the Day next before the day of this Date of those presents and by for us of the statute for transferring into his possession and his heirs forever one part or parcel of land containing two hundred and ninety seven acres bellow said (?) more or less being and lying in Beverly Mannor in the County of Augusta and on both sides of the South River of Shanando .

And all houses buildings Orchards Waywaters Watercourses profits and Commodities Hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever the said promises hereby grant or any parts thereof belonging or in any wise appurtaining and the reversion and Reversions Remainder and remainders Rent Issues and profits thereof and also all the Estate Rights Titles property Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said John Finley of in and to the said premises and all Deeds Evidences and writings touching on or in any wise concerning the TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said two hundred and ninety seven acres of land bellow said(?) more or less and all and singular other the promises hereby granted and released and every part and parcel thereof with these and every of their Appurtenances unto the said Robert Finley his heirs and assignees forever to the only proper heir and behoof of him the said Robert Finley and of his heirs and assignees forever and the said John Finley of himself his heir Executors Administrators doth Covenant promise and grant with the said Robert Finley his heirs and assignees by those presence that the said John Finley now at the time of sealing and delivering of those presents is seized of a good perfect and Estate of land in fee simple of and in the premisses hereby granted and released and that good power and lawful and absolute authority to grant and convey the land to the said Robert Finley in Mannor and form aforesaid and that the said premisses now are and forever hereafter shall remain and be free and Clear of and from all former and other Gifts Grants bargains sales Dower Rights and title of Dower judgments executions titles troubles charges and whatsoever made done comitted or suffered by the said John Finley or any other person or persons whatsoever/: the Quit rents hereafter tomorrow(?) due and payable to our Sovereign Lord the King his heirs and successors for and in of the said premisses only excepted and formalized(?):/ And lastly that the said John Finley and his heirs--all and the premisses as hath granted and released with their appurtenances into the said Robert Finley his heirs and assigns against(?) him the said John Finley and his heirs and all and every other person and persons whatever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents IN WITNESS whereof the said John Finley hath hereunto set his hand and Seal the day and year above written

John Finley in open Court acknowledged this his release for land and deeded to Robert Finley which on his Motion is admitted to record and Mary the wife of the said John being first privately Examined in open Court wished her right of Dower to the Land in to said Release mentioned which is ordered to be certified on the recorded(?) with the said Release
