GEORGE the Third vc TO ALL vc KNOW YE that for divers good Causes and
Considerations but more especially for & in consideration of the sum of TWENTY
SHILLINGS of good and lawful money for our Use paid to our Receiver General of
our Revenues in this our Colony and Dominion of Virginia WE HAVE given granted
and confirmed and by these presents for us our heirs and Successors Do give grant
and confirm unto William Finley one certain tract or parcel of land containing
two hundred acres lying and being in the County of Augusta on the South Side of
the South River of Shanando and bounded as followeth to wit. BEGINNING at two
white Oaks (?) Corner to his and Robert Finley's Lands North eighty four
degrees East ninety two Poles to a white Oak and pine South thirty six degrees
East forty Poles to a white Oak and two pines North seventy Degrees East eighty
Poles crossing a branch to two Pines South thirty five Degrees East forty two
Poles to a Pine South sixty three degrees West ninety Poles crossing the said
Branch to two Pines South forty Degrees West eighty Poles to a Pine South twelve
degrees West one hundred and ten poles to a Pine by a branch North eighty degrees
West forty Poles to two Pines near Samuel Steels line with the same North ten
degrees East eighteen Poles to his Corner two Pines North fifty three degrees
West ninety Poles to two Pines North twenty eight degrees West forty six Poles to
a Pine North fifty degrees East one hundred and forty Poles and North thirty five
degrees West sixty four Poles to the Beginning WITH ALL vc TO HAVE HOLD vc TO BE
HELD vc YIELDING vc PAYING vc PROVIDED vc IN WITNESS vc WITNESS our Trusty
