John Findley of Augusta County, VA, power-of-attorney to William Finley of Wythe County, VA, 24 January 1792. Wythe County DB 1:82.

 

Know all men by these presents that I John Findley of the County of Augusta and

State of Virginia for divers Consideration mee hereunto moving having made

Ordaince and appointed my Trusty friend William Finley of the County of Wythe and

aforesaid State to act as my lawful Attorney for mee and in my name to make a

good and lawful Deed to David and Samuel Finley of the County of Mercer of the

aforesaid State I say a good and lawful Deed to a sertain Tract of Land lying in

Wythe County on Saley Run formerly belonging to John Finley now Decsd in witness

whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seall this twenty fourth of January One

thousand seven hundred and ninety-two.

This power of attorney from John Finley to William Finley was proven by the Oaths

of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.
