Note: Marie DeLaney, 602 Oak St., Farmville, VA 23901-1118, 804-392-6229
(office), 804-392-8509 (home), located these documents and states:
The signature of John Findley, Sr. on the bottom right hand side of the page
consists of the signature to the consent and the square blob on the second line
with the same John Findley, Sr. signature is covered by his wax seal. The seal
and the paper are so old we cannot see if there was a design pressed into the
seal.
The witness signature on the left hand side of the page is that of a John Findley
also. This John Findley is a different person, probably a son or a relative.
This John Findley however, does not sign his name as Jr.
