Margaret Finley will, 27 August 1751, Albemarle County, WB 1:29.\

 

In the name of God amen I Margaret Finley of Albemarle County being sick & weak

but of perfect mind & memory, Thanks be to God, do this twenty seventh Day of

August in the year of our redemption one thousand seven hundred & fifty one make

& publish this my last will & Testament in manner & form following:

I Give & Bequeath to my son James Finley all the sum & sums of money he now

stands indebted to me.

I Give & Bequeath to my son Charles Finley the one m??? of what ready money I

have behind me. Likewise I Give unto my said son to his heirs forever two beds &

furniture, my two horses roan & gray, four head of Cattle viz one whitebacked cow

one cow & yearling & one young stear one cart & furniture & all my stock of hogs

excepting five sows the one m??? of my crops of corn on the Ground & my crops of

tobacco & all my outstanding debts whatsoever & my said son paying my funeral

charges & all my just debts. I Give & Bequeath unto my Daughter Sarah Finley to

her Heirs forever her sons and the one m??? of my crop of corn now standing & all

the rest of my Estate real & personal Except what has been before Excepted & what

I shall hereafter Except. I Give & bequeath to my son Charles Finley & to his

heirs forever the one m??? of my potts, the ??? of Estate shall not be appraised

and I ??? ordain & appoint my said son Charles Finly & my friend Samuel Burk Junr

Executors of this my last will & Testament hereby revoking & annulling all former

& other wills by me made. In Witness whereof I the said Margaret Finley have to

this my last Will & Testament Set my hand and affixed my seal the Day & year

above written
