KNOW all men by these Presents that we David and Samuel Finley of the County of Lincoln and State of Virginia doth authorize and impower our trusty and well beloved friend William Finley of Montgomery County and State aforesd. to contract concerning or transfer one tract of Land containing three hundred and twenty seven acres more or less Lying on Salley Run Waters of Reed Creek which was conveyed to us by an Article of Agreement made Signed and delivered to us David and Samuel Finley and recorded in the Court of Montgomery by our beloved father John Finley dec'd which we the sd. David and Samuel Finley doth covenant and agree to any Bargain or contract the sd. William Finley shall make with any person or persons and also to make a Sufficient Deed in fee Simple to whosoever may become purchaser of the aforesd. Land hereby empowering the sd. William Finley generally to do all act and acts which may be necessary in and about the premisses which we could do were we personally present hereby giving him our Substitute our full power in the premises without Reservation any power to revoke the same hereby Promising to abide by ratify and confirm whatever he shall do concerning the Sale of the aforesd. Land or cause Lawfully to be done in the premisses. Witness our hand and Seals the 27th day of Augt. 1784.
