John Finley of Augusta County, to David and Samuel Finley of Lincoln County, KY, 327 acres on Sally Run, 12 June 1792, Wythe County Deed Book, 1:84.

 

This Indenture made on the twelfth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety two between John Finley of the County of Augusta, Commonwealth of Virginia of the one part and David Finley & Samuel Finley of the County of Lincoln State of Kentucky of the other part Witnesseth, that the said John Finley for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings to him in hand by the said David and Samuel paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said David and Samuel a certain Tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the County of Wythe Commonwealth of Virginia, on Sally Run a branch of Reed Creek, Originally granted to John Mcfarland by patent bearing date the twentieth day of June One thousand seven hundred and fifty three containing three hundred and twenty seven acres and bounded as followeth to wit, beginning at a red oak on a ridge, and running thence south forty five Degrees, East One hundred and fifty five poles, to a stake thence North forty eight degrees, east two hundred and ninety poles, to three white Oaks near a draft north sixty three Degrees west two hundred and eighty eight poles to a stake South fifteen Degrees, West two hundred and thirty poles to the Begining, Together with all priviledges, appurtenances and advantages to the same or an part thereof belonging or in anywise appertaining to have and to hold the said Tract of Land, and premises unto the said David and Samuel, their heirs and assigns forever, to the sole and proper use and behoof of them the said David and Samuel & of their heirs and assigns forever, and the said John Finley for himself his heirs the tract of Land and premises, and every part therof against himself and his heirs and all other persons whosoever, to the said David Finley and Samuel Finley, and their heirs and assigns, shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents, In witness whereof the said John Finley hath hereunto set his hand and seal on the day and year first before written.

At a Court held for the County of Wythe the 12th day of June 1792 - This Deed of Bargain and Sale from John Finley to David and Samuel Finley was acknowledged by William Finley as attorney for the said John and Ordered to be Recorded
