Thomas Townsend to Felix McErvin and John C. Finley, a negro boy, Ben,

1 November 1829, Madison Co., KY, DB T:107.

 

Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Townsend for the consideration of hereinafter mentioned have bargained and sold to Felix McErvin and John C. Finley a negro boy slave named Ben about eleven years old which I warrant sound. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the said McErvin and Finley have this day become my security in a Riplivin? Bond to the Bank of Kentucky for about the sum of one hundred and twenty dollars 75 cents, and also in a note for forty three dollars 54 cents to Addison Moran due in three months from the date, now if the said Townsend shall will and truly pay off his Replivin Bond and note when the same shall fall due and all things save and keep harmless said McErvin and Finley as Congruence of said securityship then this obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue, given under my hand and Seal this 1st Nov 1829. his
