In the name of God Amen, I Sarah McCarter being weak in body but of perfect mind and memory do call to mind the mortality of the body that it is appointed unto all to die and afterwards to come to judgment In the first place do bequeath my soul to God who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried at the discretion of my friends in hopes to rise again at the General resurrection in Christ Jesus - As touching my worldly estate which God as blessed me with I give and bequeath in manner following (viz) To my Grand Daughter May McCarter who now lives with me I give and bequeath all my household furniture also one cow and six head of hogs, one pair of Plow horses one axe one saw one Matix and a sprouting hoe - also to my son Timothy McCarter I give one cow providing he comes for her and if he does sister Mary McCarter is to have one cow. I give to my Granson Elisha Clampsit(?) one broad axe and foots adze. I do appoint May McCarter my whole and sole Executrix of this my last will and testament and do revoke and disavow all former wills by me made in witness I have hereunto Set my hand and seal this 22 Day of December 1795.
