Andrew Dumoss/Demoss? to James Finley, 11 March 1811,

200 acres on Cumberland River and Meadow Creek,

Knox County, KY DB B:???.

 

This indenture made this 11th day of March in the year of our Lord 1811 between Andrew Demoss/Dumoss? of the first part and James Finley of the other one of the County of Wayne the other of the County of Knox and State of Kentucky tenants??, that the said Andrew Dumass for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid before the unsealing and delivery has of the receipt whereof the said Dumoss doth Finley acknowledge himself fully satisfied contented and paid have given granted bargained sold and delivered by their presents do ???? unto the said James Finley his heirs Exores Admins assignees forever one certain tract of land situated in the Count of Knox lying on the north side of Cumberland river at the mouth of Meadow Creek and bounded as follows, to wit, Beginning on a s???? and l??ch standing on the south bank of said river thence S75E 180 poles crossing n???? creek at the mouth and running up to the Maple thence N15E 180 poles to a sweet gum tree thence N75W 180 poles crossing said Creek to three white oak trees, thence S15W 180 poles to the Beginning containing two hundred acres more or less have and to hold the above tract of Land with any part or parcel ??? Together with the proper and hereditament there unto belonging any ??? appertaining to the said James Findly his heirs and assignees forever and furthermore the sd Dumoss doth avow that at the time of ???? delivery of these presents that he is the true sold owner of all the above granted and bargained premises & hath in himself good right and faith and lawful authority to give grant bargain sell & convey the same manner as aforesaid he the said Demoss his heirs Azores Admins assigns do hereby guarantee and do find with the said James Findly his heirs assigns the above granted land and tenements any part and parcel thereof. In witness whereof the said Demoss hath hereunto set his hand and seal.

Knox County - I do hereby certify that the foregoing Indenture of bargain and sale from Andrew Dumoss to James Findly is present to ??? and in my office and person by the oath of John Cummins? and Samuel Cox the ??? subscribing witness on the 1st day of July 1811 in testimony whereof and that the same is to be recorded in my office
