James Finley to Arthur Neill, 6 May 1811,

100 acres on Cumberland River and Meadow Creek,

Knox County, KY DB B:135.

 

This indenture made this 6th day of May 1811 between James Finley of the County of Knox and State of Kentucky of the one part and Arthur Neill of the County and State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said James Finley for and in consideration of the sum of six shillings to him in hand by the said Arthur Null the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath this day granted bargained and sold and these presents doth grant bargain & sell unto the said Arthur Neill a certain tract or parcel of land containing by estimation one hundred acres be the same more or less lying and being in the said County of Knox, on Cumberland River and bounded as follows, to wit, Beginning at three white oaks on the north side of the Meadow Creek and running South fifteen West one hundred and eighty poles to a sugar tree and beach thence South seventy five East seventy four poles to an elm, thence along the conditional line, between William Smith and Rains, one hundred and eighty poles to the Beginning, the said tract or parcel of [land] with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said Arthur Neill his heirs and assigns the said James Finley doth hereby warrant and forever defend him from the claim of heirs the said James Finley his heirs and assigns or all other persons whatsoever Claiming through as by him the said James Finley hath from no other person. In testimony whereof the said James Finley hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and date above
