Allice Adams to John Findlay heirs, 300 acres in Letterkenny Township, 17 August 1768, Cumberland Co., PA DB 1C:233.

KNOW all Men by these presents that I Allice Adams of Cumberland County In the

province of Pennsylvania; for and in Consideration of the sum of five Shillings

to me in hand paid by the heirs of John Findley late of Cumberland County

aforesaid , of Whom I the said Allice Adams was his Relict have granted Bargained

Sold Released & Confirmed and by these presents do grant Bargain Sell Release and

Confirm unto the heirs of the said John Findlay and to their heirs and Assigns

all my Estate Right Title & Interest For in and to an application and Survey of a

Tract of Land Granted to me for the surveying of three hundred Acres of land

Situate in Letterkenny Township in the County aforesaid Bounded by lands of John

Rippies Heirs. Thos. Alexander & M Peters & Joseph Stevenson Together with all

the appurtenances TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said Application Survey therof and

premices hereby granted with the appurtenances unto them the said Orphans or

heirs to the Estate of the said John Findley or to their heirs and Assigns to the

only proper use and behoof of them the Said Orphans or heirs to the Estate of

John Findlay their heirs and Assigns forever under and Subject to my Dower or one

third part as Widdow of the said John Findlay Decd. and the payment of the

Consideration Money Interest and Quit Rents due and to become due to the

Proprietors for the same and all other Charges Taxes and Assessments IN WITNESS I

the said Allice Adams have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Seventeenth day of

August Anno Domini 1768

August 14th 1768 Before me William Lyon one of his Majesties Justices of the

Peace for Cumberland County personally appeared Allice Adams in the Within Bill

of sale Named and Acknowledged the within to be her Act and deed and desired the

same by Recorded as her Deed IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto Set my hand &

Seal the day & Year above Said.
