Know all men by these presents that I John Finley Senior of State and District aforesaid in Consideration of the sum of one Hundred dollars to me in hand paid by Reuben McConnell to State and District aforesaid have granted Bargained and sold and released and by these these presents do grant Bargain sell and release unto the said Reuben McConnell a tract or parcel of Land whereas said Finley now resides containing by Estimation twenty one acres and two tenthes be the same more or less the same being originally granted to Ephrem McClane and conveyed to said John Finley by Henry Good Bearing date by the original patent November 16 1764 the same being laid down in the anexed ma[r]ginal plat and hath such shapes buttings & boundaries as are represented in the anexed plat together with all and singular the rights members heredatements to said premises belonging or in any wise inudent(?) or appertaining To have and to hold all & Singular the said Twenty acres of Land and two tenthes unto the sd Reuben McConnell his Heirs & assigns for ever I do hereby bind myself my Heirs Executors Administrators or assigns to warrant & forever defend all & Singular the sd Unto the said Reuben McConnell his Heirs & assigns against myself and my Heirs against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim all or any part thereof in witness whereof I have set my hand and anexed my seal this thirteenth of February one Thousand Eight Hundred and thirteen.

Whyte one of the Justices of theYork District in and for the District aforesaid do certify that Ann Findley wife of the within named John Findley did this day come before me and upon being privately and Separately examined by me declared that she does freely voluntarily and of her own accord without compulsion dread or fear of any person renounce and release unto the within named Reuben McConnell all her right title interest and claim of dower of in or to all the premises within mentioned and included, Given under my hand and Seal the 7th day of May 1814
