I apologize that I am writing so late, but the events of the last while were very unpleasant. Today, however, I finally have gotten around to answering your letter.

From my Pabst ancestors I have the following:

Eva Margaretha Pabst born 18 May 1785 in Staffelstein, that's a little north of Bamberg in Nordbayern (northern Bavaria), married on 30 July 1810 in Staffelstein. Married Dinkel Wolfgang father Joseph Pabst, Metzgermeister, in Staffelstein. He was a Cahtolic. There are further families by the name of Pabst in the Rheinland - Pfalz, Saar 6531 Bingen in the 17th century. Niedersachsen 3330 Helmstedt in the 16th to 17th century. Bayern 8781 Gemuenden am Main in the 18th to 19th century. Nordrhein-Westfalen 4100 Duisburg, 4250 Bottrop in the 18th to 20th century.

As you see the families by the name Pabst are spread out all over Germany.
