In the name of God Amen. I Robert Rhea of Phelps, being weak of body, but of a sound mind and perfect memory do publish this my last will and testament in manner following (that is to say) first I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Sarah Rhea, during her remaining my widow, forty acres of Land it being on the southwest corner of said Lot (that is to say) beginning at the southwest corner of said Lot running ninety Rods North then east so far that a parallel line to the west line of said Lot running to the south line of said lot will contain forty acres of Land, to the place of beginning furthermore, she is to have all the household goods and property that is in the house, so long as Sarah Rhea shall remain the widow of Robert Rhea furthermore, the said Sarah is to take care and bring up my youngest child, by the name of Phebe W. Rhea, until she shall choose a guardian or come of lawful age, then after the said Sarah Rhea is no more the widow of Robert Rhea, my child Phebe W. Rhea is to have the above mentioned forty acres of land further the rest of said lot of land is to be sold and all my meat stock and horses and other property belong to me, and all debts paid, all debts due to me is to be collected and to be divided as follows, my sons John, James, and Robert is to have double the sum that my daughters have, names as follows, Sarah, Mercy, Nancy and Peggy. Furthermore I Robert Rhea do appoint Pierce Granger to be my lawful Administrator, to settle all my estate, according to my will herein mentioned. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of March in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and seventeen. Phelps Ontario County.
