Alfred Head to Harrison Haley, 9 October 1841, Benton County, Missouri, DB A:442. 

 

Know all men by these presents that I Alfred I(?) Head Benton County in the state of Missouri for and in consideration of one hundred & fifty three dollars to mein hand paid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold & by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto Harrison Haley his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situated in said county of Benton and known as the west half of the north east quarter of Section N twenty nine in township No. forty two of Range No. twenty two west. To have and to hold the said tract of land with all & singular and hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said Harrison Haley his heirs and assigns forever and I do for myself my heirs & covenant to warrant & defend the premises against all ??? whatsoever. In testimony whereof I the said Alfred Head together with Rhoda Ann Head wife of said Alfred who hereby relinquishes her dower in said land hereunto set our hands & seals this (9) ninth day of October AD 1841.
