Thomas E. Head and Ophelia A., his wife to James L. Rizer of Russellville, Kentucky, 6 acres, 29 August 1867, Logan County, Kentucky, DB 41:122.

This Indenture, made this 29th day of August 1867 between Thomas E. Head and Ophelia A. Head his wife of Logan County KY. of the first part, and James L. Rizer of Russellville KY of the Second part. Witnesseth, that Said party of the first part in Consideration of the Sum of Four Hundred and Twenty two and 56/100 Dollars all of which Sum has been in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, Sold, and Conveyed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, Sell and Convey to Said party of the Second part the following described Real Estate, viz. A Certain tract of Land in Sd County Conveyed to T.E. Head by Eli Graham as per Deed of record in Deed Book 39 Page 97 of the records of Logan County Ky and described & bounded as follows Beginning on a Stone Corner to Jno Jarrett now T.B. Harrison & Nancy Brown running N50 W24 Poles to a Stone in Mrs. Browns line, thence N31 E47 poles to a Stone in Burghers line, thence with it S50 1/2 E16 poles to an Elm and Cedar Most(?) - East - Corner, to Eli Grahams 153 acre Survey thence with the East boundry line of Sd Survey S22 W48 poles to the beginning Containing Six acres - To have and to hold to said party of the Second part His heirs and assigns forever, with Covenant of General warranty and against all incumbrances. Witness our hands and Seals this day and year first above first written.

I Jo W. Winlock Clerk of the Logan County Court do Certify that this deed from Thos. E. Head & his wife Ophelia A. Head to James L. Rizer was on the 29th of Aug. 1867 produced to me in my office & acknowledged by Said Head & wife to be their act & deed. Wherefore the Same with this Certificate hath, been duly admitted to Record in my office the Same having been Stamped as required by law. Given under my hand this 3rd day of Septr 1867.
