Tavenah Head heirs to Thomas Head, 63.8 acres, 8 January 1879, Logan County, Kentucky, DB 56:563.

This Deed made the 8th day of January 1879 between John Head & his wife Martha Head, Henry Davis & his wife Mary Davis, Mort. J. Davis, all of Logan County, Ky and Wm Head of McCrackin County Ky and being all the heirs at law of Tavner Head deceased, who have not heretofore sold their interest in said decedents landed estate parties of the first and Thomas Head of Logan County Ky of the second part, witnesseth that said first party in consideration of one dollar to them each in hand paid, Twenty five dollars to be paid 1st of Feb 1880 and twenty five to be paid the 1st of Feb 1881 said Thomas Head having executed his two promissory notes for the same bearing even date herewith and made payable to Henry Davis one of the parties of the 1st part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and the relinquishment and conveyace by said second party of his interest in other lands belonging to said decedents which can be seen by reference to the records of the Logan County Court Clerks Office. have bargained and sold and hereby convey unto said second party the following described property one tract of land lying in Logan County Ky about 3 miles West of Russellville and bounded as follows Beginning at a stone on the North side of the Highland lick road corner to Brown, thence N27 1/4W39.25 ch to a post oak & black oak, thence S86W6.70 ch to a rock corner to Henry & Mort Davis lot, thence S 18 1/2E70.50 ch to a rock, corner to same, thence with the original line East 1 ch to a white oak & black oak, thence N75E4.50 ch to a dogwood thence N9 1/4W31.44 ch to the Beginning containing about 63 8/10 acres To have and to hold said property unto said second party his heirs and assigns forever "with covenant of General Warranty" releasing all rights of Homestead and Dower.
