John Head and wife Martha, Thomas Head and wife Emma, Henry Davis and wife Mary,
and Mort. J. Davis all of Logan County, to William Head of McCracken County, 761/4

This Deed of conveyance, made and entered into this January 8th A.D. 1879 by and between John Head and his wife Martha Head, Thomas Head and his wife Emma Head Henry Davis and his wife Mary Davis and Mort. J. Davis all of Logan County Kentucky and parties of the 1st part and William Head of McCracken County Kentucky of the 2nd part. Witnesseth that said 1st parties in consideration of one Dollar to them, cash in hand paid by the party of the 2nd part the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and the further consideration of the relinquishment by sd 2nd party of all the right title and interest in and to three tracts of land to each of sd 1st parties the deeds to the same having been made and bearing even date herewith have this day sold and by these presents doth alien and convey unto said 2nd party his heirs and assigns forever the following described real estate viz: one tract or parcel of land lying in Logan County Kentucky on the Highland Lick road about three miles from the town of Russellville and on the waters of Dry fork it being a part of the tract of land upon which Tanner Head deceased, late of Logan County Kentucky lived and died and is bounded as follows Beginning at a stake most South westerly corner to Henry and Mat Davis's lot thence with a line of the same N18 1/2 W70 chains to a rock corner to same in the old line thence S86 W8.40 chains to two hickories and two blackoak corner to Doyle thence S6 3/4 E38 chains to a post oak corner to John Hardy & Scott Grinter thence S42 E38.25 ch to a sweet gum thence E 3.30 ch to the Beginning Containing about 76 1/4 acres. All of the above named parties being heirs-at-law of the aforesaid Tanner Head, deceased, and of age, and mutually agreeing to select to disinterested persons to divide the real estate of said deceased and said division having been made the above described property was set apart to William Head. The interest of the said Henry Davis and Mort J. Davis is in one lot, and undivided, said Henry Davis having purchased the interest of his sister Orah H. Grinter in said estate and said Mort J. Davis having purchased the interest of his brother Tavner Davis in said estate (as per deeds of record) all of whom were the children of Martha Davis now deceased, who was a daughter of the said Tanner Head deceased. The said Henry & Mort having by purchase acquired the entire interest of their mother in said estate. To have and to hold the aforesaid real estate together with all the appertainances thereunto pertaining unto the said William Head his heirs and assigns forever with covenant of General warranty.
