Thomas Head and wife Emma, John Head and wife Martha of Logan County, Wm Head of McCrackin County, Kentucky to Henry and Mort J. Davis of Logan County, 76 1/4 acres, 8 November 1879, Logan County, KY DB 56:559.

This Deed, made the 8th day of November 1879 between Thomas Head and his wife Emma Head, John Head and his wife Martha Head all of Logan County Ky Wm Head of McCrackin County Ky, being all the heirs at law of Taphnah Head deceased who have not sold their interest in said decedents landed estate of the first and Henry Davis & Mort J. Davis of Logan County Ky of the second part, witnesseth that said first party in consideration of One dollar to them in hand paid and in consideration of the relinquishment and conveyance by said party of the second of their interest in other lands belonging to said decedents estate, which can be seen by reference to the records in the Logan County Clerks Office have bargained and sold and hereby convey unto said second party the following described land lying in Logan County, Ky about three miles West of Russellville and bounded as follows Beginning at a rock most S. Westerly corner to Thomas Heads lot, thence N19W70.50 ch to a rock in the original line thence with the same S86W11 ch to a stake corner to Wm Heads lot, thence with line of same S19E70 ch to a stake thence East with the original line 11 chains to the Beginning containing about 76 1/4 acres. To have and to hold said property unto said second party their heirs and assigns forever "with covenant of General warranty" releasing all rights of Homestead and Dower.
