Thomas E. Head and Emily, his wife, to M.J. Davis, 22 acres, 11 April 1888,

This Deed made the 11 day of April 1888 between Thomas E. Head and Emily A. Head his wife of the County of Logan State of Ky parties of the first and M.J. Davis of the County and State aforesaid party of the second part witnesseth that the said party of the first part in consideration of the sum of Five Dollars cash in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and one promissory note of even date for Two Hundred and fifteen Dollars due one year after date 6% interest lien retained on land to secure payment of note have bargained and sold and hereby convey such said second party a certain tract or parcel of land in Logan County, Ky, about 3 miles West of Russellville on the Highland Lick road and bounded as follows. Beginning at a rock near a barn and corner to H.M. David & M.J. Davis, thence with M.J. Davis line N17 1/2 W28.64 chains to rock, corner to M.J. Davis and in Browns line thence N87 3/4 E6.61 ch with browns line to rock corner to Brown, thence S25 3/4 E26.58 chains to rock in Gibbs line and corner to Thomas E. Head, thence with his line S69 1/4 W9.70 chain to the Beginning and containing 22 acres. To have and to hold said property unto said second party his heirs and assigns forever "with covenant of General warranty," releasing all rights of Homestead and Dower.
