This Deed made the 4th day of Dec 1894 between Squire Head & Ellen Head his wife of Logan County Ky of the first part and James M. Head & W.F. Head of the same County and State of the second part Witnesseth that the said party of the first part in consideration of four hundred dollars paid & to be paid as follows two hundred and fifty Dollars paid cash in hand and assume payment of the remaining note on said land which is held by Ryan & Sandage the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and hereby convayed unto said second partys a parcel of land lying in Logan County Ky on the waters of Laurel(?) Creek Beginning on a beach corner to Thomas & Regger running thence S69 E20 poles S66 E52 poles S62 1/2 E12 poles S69 E53 poles to a sasafras on a branch thence running on with the meanderings of the Branch thence out from said branch N88 1/2 E42 3/4 poles to a double black jack thence N88 1/2 E36 poles to a oak on the Rochester Road thence with said Road N9 W52 poles to a stake in the Road thence N75 W16 poles to a rock south west corner to Zyon Church lot thence N15 E13 poles to a hickory N.W. corner to said Zion Church lot thence N88 W103 1/2 poles to a beach and gum on the East bank of Larral Creek thence up the Creek with its meanderings S13 E18 poles S38 1/2 E20 poles S8 W30 poles S4 W13 1/2 poles to the beginning containing one hundred in thirty one acres to have and to hold said property unto said second partys their heirs and assigns forever with Covenant of General Warranty releasing all wrights of homestead and Dower.
