In the name of God Amen I Jessee Jinkens of Rowan County North Carolina being of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be God to this 9 Day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred & two I make and publish this my last will and testament in the manner following that is to say I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Martha Jinkens one Negro man named Fredrick lent during her life time also half of the tract of land that she now lives upon to the Martha Jinkins, lent during her widowhood and if she should get married her part land is to be devided amongst the eight legatees, also all the stock of house & furniture excepted two beds is to be lent to her likewise and at her decease it is to be devided amongst the said legatees. Martha Jinkins, Polly Jinkens Thomas Jinkens Betsey Jinkens, Elinder Jinkens, Jacke Jinkens, Fany(?) Jinkens, Jesse Jinkens. I leave these said legetees two part, of five Negros named Tildy(?) and Chester(?) and Peggy & Ruth & Charley the one third of said five Negros belonging to Joel Jinkins the said Joel Jinkens is to take the said property and make sale of it and the money receiving of said property to be devided among the above legatees at the deceasion of Martha Jinkins and Joel Jinkens the half of the land is Joel Jinkens I will the half of the tract of land where I now live I will to my son Joel Jinkens by paying two hundred Dollars or the land also I will my son William Jinkens one hundred fifty Dollars to be paid when Martha Jinkens part is sold and if he ...?...by me live on her part of the land as long as she remains a widow also I leave my daughter Elizabeth Christmas five shillings and also Nancy Fullor five shillings. I also will Jesse(?) Moss the sone of David Moss deceased one Negro girl named Fanny.. In witness whereas I the Jesse Jinkens have to this my last will and Testament set my hand and seal the Day and year above mentioned.
