Opinion that Joel Jenkins is entitled to benefits of pre-Emption act 19th June 1834. Patent date,
10th Sept. 1844, recorded, vol 4, p. 129. Noted in Tract Book 2/9/34, vol 11, Page 19.

I Joel Jenkins of the County of Greene and State of Missouri do hereby apply to purchase lots No. one & Two, North East psl(?) qr of Section No. six of Township No. twenty nine of Range No. Twenty one West. And adduce (advance?) the following proofs, Question by Register and Reciver, when did you settle, and cultivate, the above named Tract of land, and was you in possian (possession) of the same, on the 19th day of June 1834, Answers.
I had cabbins built on the above named tract of land in 1833 and cultivated some five or six acres in the year 1833 and I was in possesion of the same on the 19th day of June 1834. Still cultivating.

William Fulbright and Ephraim Fulbright being introduced as witnesses, in the above case, depose and say. Question before Register, and Reciver; When did Joel Jenkins settle and cultivate the above named place, and was he in possession of the same, on the 19th day of June 1834. Answer, we do know that Mr. Joel Jenkins, or some one else for him, did cultivate on the above named place, some five or six acres in corn & ? in the year 1833. and we know that he was in possession, of the same, on the 19th day of June 1834. Still cultivating, and possessing the same; this given under hands

For value received I Joel Jenkins of Greene Cty Misso. do hereby transfer and set over unto Henry Fulbright of the County and State aforesaid, all my right, title, claim, interest, and demands in and to the following described tracts of lands, designated as per Reciver Recipt, No. 2620 and as Lots No. one, and Two, North East psl(?) qr of Section No. six, of Township No. Twenty nine, of Range No. Twenty one West in the district of Land subject to sale at Springfield Missouri and I do hereby request that a Patent may be issued, in the name of the aforesaid Henry Fulbright his heirs or assigns as witness my hand, this the 13th day of August 1839.

Land Office at Springfield, MO. Received of Joel Jenkins of Greene county, the sum two hundred dollars in full payment for the Lot No. 1 & 2 North East psl(?) qr of Section Six Township twenty nine Range twenty one west, containing one hundred & Sixty acres, at $1"25 per acre.

Land Office, at Springfield, MO, August 13, 1839. It is hereby certified, that in pursuance of Law, Joel Jenkins Greene County, State of Missouri on this day purchased of the Register of this office, the Lot or No. one & two North East frl(?) qr of Section No. Six in Township No. twentynine, Range No. Twentyone w containing One hundred & Sixety acres, at the rate of one dollar and twentyfive cents per acre, amounting to Two hundred dollars and 00 cents, for which the said Joel Jenkins ??? payment in full as required by law. Now therefore be if known, That, on presentation of this Certificate to the Commissioner of the General Land Office, the said Joel Jenkins shall be entitled to receive a Patent for the lot above described.
