Joel Jenkins, power-of-attorney to Minerva Jenkins, 26 April 1849, Greene County,
Missouri, Deed Book E:232, Missouri State Archives, microfilm #2482.
Know all men by these presents that I Joel Jenkins of the County of Greene in the
State of Missouri do hereby constitute and appoint my wife Minerva Jenkins my
true and lawful Attorney in form and in my name to contract bargain and sell all
or any part of my real-estate and to receive payment or any assurances or
securities therefor, and receipt for the same, in such times as she shall deem
expedient, and to make execute and deliver for me and in my name any conveyance
or conveyances thereof hereby ratifying and confirming all that she may do for
me and in my name in the premises as my attorney as aforesaid. Witness my hand
and seal this 26th day of April AD 1849.

Be if remembered that on the 26th day of April AD 1849 at the County aforesaid
before me the undersigned one of the Justices of the peace of said County
personally appeared Joel Jenkins of said County who is personally known to me to
be the person whose name is subscribed to the within instrument as party thereto,
and he then and there acknowledged the within instrument to be his act and deed
for the purposes therein expressed. Given under my hand the day and year above
written.
