Joel and Minerva Jenkins to Oscar J. Robards, 80 acres, 21 October 1850, Greene

This Indenture made this twenty first day of October AD One thousand eight hundred and fifty between Joel Jenkins by his attorney in fact and his wife Minerva of the County of Green State of Missouri of the one part and Oscar J Robards of the County and State aforesaid of the second part Witnesseth, for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and twenty five dollars to them in hand paid by the said Oscar J Robards the receipt and payment is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain and sell the following lot of Land situate lying and being in said County viz. The West half of the North East quarter in Section No 14 Township 30 Range 22 West containing Eighty acres more or less Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging ????? appertaining unto him the said Oscar J Robards his heirs ??? administrators and assigns To have and to hold unto him the said Oscar J Robards his heirs and assigns forever And that the said Joel Jenkins by his attorney in fact and his wife Minerva Jenkins do by these presents warrant and forever defend the right title claim interest and demand against the claim or claims of each and every other person or persons whomsoever. And Minerva Jenkins wife of the said Joel Jenkins do by these presents relinquish all right to Dowry. In testimony whereof the said Joel Jenkins by his attorney in fact and Minerva Jenkins his wife have hereunto set their hands and affix heir seals the day and date above written.

Personally appeared before me Joshua Davis Clerk of the circuit Court in and for said County Joel Jenkins by his attorney in fact and acknowledged this action indenture to be his act and deed for the purpose therein contained also personally came Minerva Jenkins wife of the said Joel Jenkins she being known to me to be such have made acquainted with the contents thereof and she examined apart from her said husband doth say she ??? wishes all right of Dower to said land of her own will and accord without fear or coersion or compulsion of her said husband. In testimony whereof I the clerk as aforesaid have hereto set my hand and afixed the seal of the Court done at my Office in Springfield this 21st day of October AD 1850
