Nancy Finley to Josiah Jones, 2 February 1811, Marriage Bonds, Mercer County, KY. 1808-1816, p. 264.

Know all men by these presents that we Josiah Jones & Ezekiel F. Gains are held & firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the Sum of Fifty pounds Current Money the payment of which unto and hereby to be made to the said Commonwealth our we bond ourselves our heirs & jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seal and dated this 2nd day of February 1811.

The condition of the above obligation is such that when as there is a licence about to be ishued for a Marriage intended to be solumnised between the above bound Josiah Jones & Nancy Finly now if there be none lawful courses to obstruct said marriage then the above obligation to be void also to remain in full force and virtue.
