1812 Sarah Finley of Town Hundred and New Castle Co. Del. single woman to Eliz. Mason of Q. A. widow land granted 16 Nov l769 to James Finley late of Q. A. decd called Finleys Purchase, mentions tract called Nathan and Thomas Beginnings Solomans Friendship sold to James Finley, also Solomans Friendship and Warpledon Additon, also land James Chavier sold James Finley mentions LW&T James Finley dated 15 Sep 1788. 1788 (He had sons John, George, and James Junior) mentions LW&T of James Finley (Junior) dated 8 Oct. 1790. Mentions wf of James Finley Sr. died about 1804. John Finley died before wf of James Sr. John had 2 children who died in childhood. Sarah Finley and her sister Maria wf of James Tucker inherited property. They were daughters of James Jr. who died before his mother (1804). The land was formerly land of her grandfather's.
