I Mary Reed of Frederick County and State of Virginia being in perfect health of body and of perfect sound mind & memory calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that is is appointed for all mankind once to die do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul to the Hand of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian Burial at the discression of my executors and as touching such Worldly _______ wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form I give and bequeath to my son Mitchell Reed one equal third part of the tract of land now in my possession to him his heirs and assigns forever yet nevertheless not untill after my daughter Hannah shall marry or depart this life and also on third part part or the value thereof all my movable property except somethings hereafter nominates and bequeathed to my daughter Hannah I give and bequeath to my daughter Hannah during the time she shall remain single the whole of my plantation and all the benefits there of and also the horse Calico her horse and her side saddle and her choice of one of the Milck Cows and her choice of two Ewes and also all grain wool and flax shall belong to me at my decease and all my household goods except one ___ bed and bed cloaths and my side saddle and when she shall marry or die I allow my plantation above mentioned to be equally divided into three parts one third part of which I give and bequeath to her and her heirs and assigns forever I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary the above excepted Bed and Bed cloaths and the side saddle I give and bequeath to my Grand Daughter Elisabeth McFarland a Bay Mare with a Bald face and also one of the Colt's I give and bequeath to my Grandchildren Samuel, John & Michaell McFarland one third part of the above plantation after the marriage or Death of my daughter Hannah to them their heirs and assigns for ever and also the remander of the colts of the above ____(bay mare?) shall _____ or the value there of I also make and ordain my son Michaell the Executor of this my Last Will and Testament And I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and ______all and every other formal Testament _______ Bequests and ______by me in any ways before named Will and bequested __________- and confirming this and no other ______ and _______ Witness _________________________ seal this third day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and Eighty Two

At a court held for Frederick County the 5th day of February 1794 This will was proved by the oaths of Joseph Wattson and Joseph Longacre witnesses there to and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of Hannah Reed who made oath according to Law Certificate is granted her for obtaining Letters of Administration with the said will annexed giving Security where upon she with the Security entered into and acknowledged bond conditions as the Law Directs.
