13 September 1815 - William Moore will; to son Elijah farm "on which I now live" sold to him by deed bearing date 13 Sept. 1815 and $1; daughter Mary Hart provided for by Elijah, $10; son Nathaniel's widow, Elizabeth, $50; daughter Rebecca, wife of Cornelius P. Vankirk(?) divide $1650 in lands in Coshocton County on which "my son John has been living for some time", 460 acre tract purchased from Benjamin Fry of Coshocton County; son John, remainder of 460 acre tract after Rebecca's share is taken out; Rebecca's daughter Phoebe, aged 7 years, to get $400 from her mother when Phoebe reaches 18; son John to care for granddaughter Sarah, daughter of Charles Moore, decd; Pamela and Sarah children of son Nathaniel decd, each to receive $400 out of John's estate when they reach 18; grandchild Eliza Ann Moore in New Jersey to receive $400 when she become 18, to be paid by son John; sons Elijah and John to be executors; witnesses, John C. 4 July 1818 - Robert Moore will; to mother, $100; "to my Brother son Robert Moore son of James Moore, 100 acres of my land"; brother-in-law Henry Willson, $40; brother-in-law Francis Moffett, $10; brother-in-law James W. Loy(?), $15; brother James Moore, clothing; executor, Joseph Williamson. Witnesses: Thomas Barra??, John L. Cochran, Saml Thompson. Case 348. WB B:240.

29 January 1823 - Andrew Moore will; sister Jane Wilson, watch; brother-in-law William Wilson, all other property for "taking care for me;" share of estate in PA to be used to get each sister and sister-in-law a "fine black dress;" sister Jane Wilson to get any residue; executor, Mathew McElhiny; witnesses Isaac Martin, Henry Crooks. 24 April 1824 - Benjamin Webb, James Hampson, Jeremiah Dale bonded ($800) in settlement of estate of William Moore, decd. Webb named administrator. Case 578. Adm. Doc. A:140.

14 August 1829 - Benjamin Moore appointed guardian for Hannah Horn aged 17 years; $500 bond by Benjamin Moore, James Moore, John Roberts & Elijah Moore. Case 860. Grd. Book A:65. [Newton Township]

1 January 1830 - John Moore will; homestead in Jefferson Twp., 128 acres, not to be sold before youngest child becomes 21; personal property to children; tract of land in Hopewell Twp., Washington County, PA, to be sold by any of "my children;" executors to be brothers, Robert & James Moore; witnesses, Evan F. South(?), William McClintock. [There was a James Moore in the 1840 census, Jefferson Township, with eligible female in household; John McFarland on same page.] Case 912. Adm. Doc. A:226. 13 March 1830 - William Moore appointed administrator in estate of Sarah Moore; $200 bond

11 May 1836 - Mary Ellen Moore, of Zanesville, will; sister Elizabeth Ann Moore, all interest in south half of lot 7 in 11th square of Zanesville inherited from brother William Slade Moore, decd; witnesses Wyllys Buell, Fisher A. Foster. Case 1424. Adm. Doc. A:12.

14 April 1842 - Elijah Moore, sale of goods by Robert Moore, administrator; Frances Moore bought majority of items; filed 30 May 1842. Case 1956. Adm. Doc. B:126.

7 May 1844 - John Moore will; to son, William, $5; son, Samuel P. Moore, west half of farm; son, Robert Moore, remainder of farm; Samuel and Robert's legacy dependent on their remaining with father until his decease; five daughters, Mary Ann Moore, Sary Moore, Elizabeth Moore, Sintha An Mchaffer, and Jane Chow(?), divide $750 over 7 years to be paid by Samuel and Robert. 15 February 1846 - Thomas Moore of Washington County, Penn., will; son George Moore, farm in Muskingum County, Ohio, about 100 acres, horse, saddle, bridle, set of harness, 20 sheep and ewes, one cow; daughter Letitia Moore, $400, horse, saddle, bridle, one bureau and other household goods; son John Moore, farm in Washington County, Penn. with livestock and household goods; executor son, John Moore; witnesses Henry Bruce, W. 15 March 1850 - Joseph Moore of Richill Township will; wife Ruth one third all real [about 80 acres in Richill Township] and personal property, ; to oldest daughter Nancy Moore, now living in Fayette County, Penn., $100 to be paid at death of her mother; second daughter Eliza [L. or T.]Moore of Fayette County, Penn., $100 at death of her mother; third daughter Maranda Jane Day [Bay?], $50 and a book called Burkets Notes on the New Testament in addition to $200 already paid; eldest son, Theodore W. [H.?] Moore, 80 acres deeded to Theodore 6 May 1846; fourth daughter Margaret Juletta Moore, $250; second son Franklin C. Moore, $400 and a two year old colt and family Bible; third son James C. Moore, $100 and good education; fourth son Artemas D. Moore, all personal property except that already otherwise mentioned; grandson Hugh Patterson Day [Bay?, rifle gun and shot pouch; real estate not to be sold until Artemas becomes thirty years of age; wants burial in Union burying ground in Richill Township; esteemed friend John Vandavnt executor; witnesses, James Moore, Jacob Moray. 15 April 1856 - William H. Moore of Putnam will; wife, Nancy Moore, one-half of lot #7 in Putnam, all stock & household goods; after wife's decease, 1/5 to each of five heirs, daughter Esther Martin; daughter Elizabeth Thomas; children of deceased daughter Sarah Martin; children of deceased daughter Mary Carron; grandson William H. Moore unless he dies before age 21, then estate divided into four parts going to daughter Esther Martin; daughter Elizabeth Thomas; children of deceased daughter Sarah Martin; children of deceased daughter Mary Carron. At death of wife Nancy, personal property to go to daughter Elizaberh Thomas and daughter-in-law Jane Moore; executors, sons-in-law George Martin and Abraham Martin without bond; witnesses, John Balthes, Levi Clark. 12 November 1860 - James Moore of Washington Township, will; friend David Applegate of Zanesville, executor; son Joseph O. Moore, all lands in Washington Township south of National Turnpike road 6, pay to son James Moore the sum of $50 yearly for life; son James Moore, tract of land, part of third qarter of first Township and seventh range U.S. Military Land [description] two acres conveyed to me by Thomas Wallwork and Mary, his wife by deed dated 21 April 1853, DB 23:618, plus parcel to north . . line of Peter Rock; sons Graham C. Moore and Francis H. Moore, remainder of land in Washington Township subject to payment to daughter Mrs. Anna Maria Carey, wife of Thomas Carey, $200 yearly, and to son James Moore $200 yearly; daughter Mrs. Mary E. Van Pelt, undivided half of lot 2 . . . city of Washington, D.C. other half of lot owned by my brother, David Moore; grandaughter, Williamana Moore, daughter of my deceased son, William Moore, lot 6 . . . Washington, D.C.; son James Moore, $600; sons Graham C. Moore and Francis H. Moore, livestock, farming utensils, hay, grain, and fodder; to Executor, lot 2 . . . in Washington, D.C. and land in St. Cloud, Minnesota; Graham and Francis to provide shelter for daughter Mrs. Van Pelt, Mrs. Emily Moore, the widow of my son, William Henry, and my granddaughter Williamanna Moore; already given to my deceased daughter, Mrs. Emma Hazlett. 29 February 1864 - James Moore will; wife, 22 acres is lieu of dower, horse, saddle, bridle, household goods; daughter Elliner Moore of Chandlersville, $200; son James Moore, $200; daughter Eliza F. Moore, $200; daughter Cinthy Moore, $200; three sons John Moore, Criswell Moore, and Given Moore, have received all I allow; two sons Ai B. Moore and William C. Moore, balance of farm containing 100 acres to be divided equally, Ai and William to pay legatees within 10 years; daughter Margaret B.
