1 January 1830 - John Moore will; homestead in Jefferson Twp., 128 acres, not to be sold before youngest child becomes 21; personal property to children; tract of land in Hopewell Twp., Washington County, PA, to be sold by any of "my children;" executors to be brothers, Robert & James Moore; witnesses, Evan F. South(?), William McClintock. Probated 6 February 1830. [There was a James Moore in the 1840 census, Jefferson Township, with eligible female in household; John McFarland on same page.]

In persuance of a special cort of Common Pleas held at Jamesville Muskingum County on the six day of February one thousand eight hundred and thirty Wm McClintok Evan F (J?) Lovett and Frederick F Preen so set off the following property for the use of the family of John Moore deceased for one year.

Two stacks of wheat six dollars and fifty cts 6.50
Corn twelve dollars seventy five cts 12.75
?? pork and baken twenty dollars and eighty cts 20.80
one lot of flour one dollar and twenty five cts 1.25
one sorrel colt fifteen dollars 15.00
