This indenture made this sixteenth day of August in the fifth year of the Common Welth of Virginia and in the year of our Lord Christ one Thousand Seven hundred and Eighty one Between William Finley of Prince Edward County of the one part and Henry Perkins of Charlotte County of the other part Witnesseth that the sd William Finley hath Recd full satisfaction by the sd Henry Pirkins at or before the Delivering of these presents and receipt whereof the sd William Finley doth hereby acknowledge and thereof Every part thereof doth hereby acquit and discharge the sd Henry Pirkins his Heirs Extors and admrs for ever by these presents hath given granted bargained Sold aliened and confirmed unto the sd Henry Pirkins and heirs and assigns one Tract or parcel of Land Situated lying on the Branches of Vaughn Creek in Prince Edward County containing by Estimation two hundred and Thirty five acres be the same more or less and Bounded as followeth to Wit By James Caldwell William Jones along a new line through William Finley land to Cassen [?] line and thence to James Caldwell line at the Beginning being now the land that William Finley now lives upon together With all woods underwoods ways waters and water corses Tidings Eastments commodity Hereditaments and appertanances whatsoever to the same Belonging or any ways apertaining and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders and all the Singular the Estate rite title property Claim and Demand of him the said William Finley of or in or to the premises or any part thereof with the apertanances To have and to hold the sd Tract or parcel of Land and all and Singeler the premises hereby granted Bargined and sold with there and Every of There appertanances unto the said Henry Pirkins his heirs and assigns for Ever to the only use of him the sd Henry Perkins his heirs VC forever and the said William Finley for himself and his Heirs the said Tract or parcel of land and premises with the Appertanances unto the sd Henry Perkins and his heirs against him the said William Finley his heirs and assigns and all and every other person or persons Whatsoever Lawfully Claiming or Claim by from or under him them or any other person or persons Whatsoever shall and will Warrant and forever Defend by these presents In Witness whereof the said William Finley hath hereunto set his hand and seald the day and year above Written
